PC Chassis: All-in-One Concept with Fancy Designs

When a smilingly nice lady comes to you, you would be surprised that she is just the founder of CHENBRO MICOM CO. LTD., one the 1000 largest companies in Taiwan, with major manufacturing plants in China and sales/marketing offices around the globe. The company is not just big and well-organized, it has achieved many milestones since its establishment in 1983—launched the world’s first PC tower case in 1986, the first server case in 1992, the first convertible desktop/tower case in 1994 and conducted ODM/OEM businesses for international brands like IBM, HP, Dell for many years. The company went public in 2005 and has been listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange ever since.What are the keys for CHENBRO’s success? The following is an excerpt of the interview with Ms. Chen:

Q: CHENBRO started businesses in the international trade field. Now, it has focused on PC/server chassis manufacturing and become the first three largest chassis manufacturer in Taiwan. How do you explain your company’s success?

A: As a professional chassis manufacturer, we don’t just produce and sell chassis; on the other hand, we provide our customers a total solution from design, mechanics, manufacturing to marketing & sales. Our customers can always see our great efforts in every part of our solutions. We have a very high standard for every product we made. CHENBRO is also an ISO9001, 9002, and 14001 certified company that continuously delivers high-quality products through strict product design and manufacturing process. Our core value and competence is providing fully integrated mechanical solutions for system integrators and OEM customers in satisfying their time-to-market and time-to-profit benefits.

Q: Would you please be specific for the “great efforts” you mean?

A: In the chassis industry, I can say that we are one of the few companies that invest a wealth of resources in research and development. Thirty percent of our employees are in the R&D department, conducting electronics, mechanics and testing research. We are now able to design electronic components independently, and thus, own the ability for electrical-electronic integration. Our strong R&D capabilities enable us to co-work with our customers, who are normally international enterprises, to meet their special needs. The latest successful case is to assist a world’s famous 3D movie to establish the relevant solutions. To enhance the company's bottom line, we build all our moulds almost exclusively in-house to tightly control quality. In addition, we set up our own testing labs for shock, vibration, EMI, and thermal flow tests to respond to customers' real-time requests for relevant test reports.

Q: Would you please share your plans for the company?

A: We like to share a slogan with our business friends: “Intel Inside, CHENBRO outside”. We aim to become the world’s leading enclosure solution provider, and step in different application fields such as the medical treatment and the army. Capitalizing on the opportunities presented by cloud computing, we have also launched several new products to the market. Despite the economic downturn, we maintain a profitable business and garner 110 million U.S. dollars of revenue in 2009. The sales in 2010 has been rising sharply. We are very positive towards our future growth and development.

To this, Chenbro will introduce the PC101 all-in-one concept chassis. When fitted with an industry-standard VESA 17"–22" display, PC101 becomes an elegant all-in-one personal computer. This chassis allows the display to move upward and downward, tilt 15 degrees up and 5 degrees down, and rotate 60 degrees to both left and right. This chassis is compatible with Micro-ATX (9.6” x 9.6”) motherboards and offers room for one optical drive, one card reader, one 3.5” internal hard drive, and an 85 Plus-compliant 300W power supply unit. This chassis has been greatly welcomed by government and educational markets around the world. 2009 Chenbro Annual Party

Taipei, Taiwan, 21th January, 2010 – Chenbro held its annual party in Banqiao, Taiwan today. All Chenbro members including top management team prepared special shows to entertain the hardworking colleagues and invited guests. Special prizes are prepared for every employee, and three special awards are reserved for the best performing team of the night. At the end of the night, Chenbro team vowed to make a record-breaking year in 2010.

The top management team made their debut in the party wearing as Chinese opera characters who are the Eight-Immortals crossing the sea, each one showing his or her special blesses to Chenbro. The colorful customs and amusing dancing steps entertained all the guests. Followed by the employee groups’ performance competition brought the whole night to a climax. At the end, first place is claimed by the group of sales, marketing, MIS, human resource, accounting & finance department; and the group of engineer and custom solutions won the second place. The creative hand-made customs and sophisticated dancing routines are the key winning factors. The latter featured traditional folk ceremony and retrospective songs brought everyone back into their childhood memory.

The employee lucky drawing between the shows was also the highlight of the night. Prizes could only be won by employees who stayed until the end. With the coming of the President prize, everyone’s emotion is brought to the boiling point. Chenbro banqueted our guests in 45 tables with over 500 participants. Everyone enjoyed a splendorous night with good food and drink and toasted for another great year to come in 2010.

To keep up with cutting edge technology, Chenbro launches Intel Tylersburg solutions chassis in Rackmount and Pedestal Server series. In addition, we continue developing our new models on SFF PC, Card Kits, 2.5" HDD and low noise solutions etc.

· Tylersburg Solution
Chenbro launches Rackmount 1U to 9U and Server Chassis for Intel new generation Tylersburg platform. Customers can choose versatile chassis according to low power consumption, media-oriented and mainstream M/Bs. Intel has certified Chenbro RM13204 for low power consumption M/B and SR105/107 for mainstream M/B.

· 4U Value Added IPC
RM42300 with 17.5" depth is compatible with ATX, CEB, 15-PCI slot which can satisfy medical, industrial, surveillance applications. High flexible features include rackable or pedestal server, various open bay configurations and different bezels for selections.

In its petite three liter figure, PC781 fully utilized internal space while maintaining the flexibilities of various features.   The VESA compatible monitor mounting kit can be used behind standard VESA 17” to 22” monitors to convert PC781 into an all-in-one PC.
