SOS Emmaus families

The SOS Emmaus Families are a set of French associations law of 1901 whose first was born in Rouen in 1967 . Until 1975, the SOS Emmaus Families of Rouen, created by Anne-Marie Poinsignon, wife of the local sub-prefect, is the only one that exists.

The 50 SOS Families in France are part of the Emmaus Movement and are affiliated to Emmaus France . Their resources come largely from Emmaus communities around them.

These associations provide assistance to families in debt by providing them with an interest-free and resource-free advance .
